To this day, we have people (mostly Spanish/Latin in origin) with Moor-related surnames, and even first names.

A few surnames that come to mind are in three categories:

Religious: Medina
Arabic Al=the: Alvarado, Alhambra, Alvarez
Arabic Z: Zambrano

There were at least three (3) sets of Moors

There were at least three (3) sets of Muslim/Moslem Moors: the Arabic Moors, Black or African Moors (hence the term, "blackamoor," or Black as a Moor) and even White Moors.
